The HK Prize is an annual merit-based scholarship award sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The non-governmental prize is open to any individual or team that has contributed significantly to the advancement of science and technology in Hong Kong, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, life and health, new materials and new energy, advanced manufacturing, and FinTech. It aims to encourage more young people to devote themselves to the field of scientific research and development, while at the same time encouraging Hong Kong’s youth to develop a global perspective. Each year, a total of 10 awards will be given out. The application period will open on March 1 for people in Southeast Asia, mainland China and the rest of the world. The finalists will be selected from those who submit their applications before May 1. The winners will receive tickets to fly to Hong Kong for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
