In an effort to improve customer digital experience, Singapore Pools has migrated its on-premise applications monitoring system to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The company now has improved visibility across the entire IT environment, enabling it to troubleshoot issues faster. In addition, it can run a wider range of applications in a secure, high-performance environment. These factors will help Singapore Pools increase its digital capabilities and deliver a seamless experience for customers.
The move to Oracle Cloud has also enabled the company to reduce its management complexity by automating key processes. For instance, a single dashboard provides visibility into performance, application health, and capacity, allowing the company to detect and resolve issues within minutes, compared to hours previously. This will allow Singapore Pools to focus on its core business and increase efficiency.
Founded in 1968, Singapore Pools is a state-owned enterprise that provides a safe and trusted platform for betting. Its digitalisation journey aims to stay ahead of emerging gaming trends and uphold strict regulatory standards. Its online betting services include sports betting, including football and Formula 1 motor racing. In addition, it offers lottery services such as Toto and 4D.
IGT has been awarded a six-year contract by Singapore Pools to supply its central lottery system and related technologies. The agreement is valued at over S$250 million. Under the terms of the deal, IGT will deploy its Aurora Navigator, Data Connector and Aurora Anywhere. These solutions provide a single view of all lottery applications and back-office functions, with Data Connector providing a plug-and-play gateway for efficient data integration. Aurora Anywhere enables external applications to access the core lottery system for expanded game play and features.
In addition to the central lottery system, IGT will provide its Aurora platform and related technology to help drive Singapore Pools’ innovation. This includes the company’s omnichannel player platform, Aurora Anywhere, which supports a variety of platforms and devices. Its omnichannel player service offers a seamless and engaging experience to customers regardless of the device used.

Each year, 97% of Singapore Pools’ revenues are dedicated to support charity and community initiatives. The company has raised more than $2 billion since its inception. This was made possible by the public’s generous contributions. The funds will help to improve the lives of Singaporeans and make a difference in their communities.
